My apologies if this has been answered elsewhere but I was curious if the same  rule of getting a gift phot with a gift $60 or greater holds true with correspondent kids as well as financially sponsored ones? I'm finishing up my May birthday gifts and it got me thinking. Soooo many of my kids have birthday's in May, and while I know I don't *have* to, I like to give them a little something special.

FYI, in case anyone else was interested in the answer to this, I just got off the phone with Compassion to arrange a gift and asked while I had someone on the line. Yes, the photo thing holds true for correspondents as well as financially sponsored kids! :)

Do they know who the gift came from in this situation?

I'd say yes, because in a situation where there's a financial and correspondent sponsor, it's the correspondent sponsor who is the "face" of the child's sponsorship experience. If anything I imagine more correspondent sponsors get attributed with financial gifts that come from the financial sponsor.

My experience has been that I was thanked for all my correspondent children's gifts, even the ones that the financial sponsor have sent.  When I visited one of my correspondents in India, he thanked me for the refrigerator which his financial sponsor had bought him...

I have also received photos for the gifts that the financial sponsor has sent to my correspondent children...  That was a real bonus but I feel very sad that the sponsor cannot receive this benefit!
