Hello. I would like to send something special to our sponsor child for her birthday but understand my options are limited unless I find someone who will be traveling to that region. Would you please tell me what items are acceptable to send to her? and How do I go about doing it? Is there a list with suggestions? Will she actually get the physical items and not scanned ones? Thank you! Also, please add me to the FB account

Hi Julie! I appreciate your heart to bless your sponsored child with something special for her birthday! Thank you for loving her so well! Here are the items that will be physically mailed:

  • Musical greeting cards
  • Pop-up greeting cards
  • Bookmarks
  • Stickers
Please do not write on these items but attach a separate piece of paper with your birthday message. This way only the sheet of paper will be scanned and translated.

Here are some examples of items that can be sent, but that will be scanned and then quality printed out on her end:
  • Coloring pages
  • Basic greeting cards
  • Letters
  • Photos
  • Excerpts from books and magazines
I sent you an invite to the Facebook group for correspondents.

You are also welcome to send a monetary gift. $10 to $100 may be sent each year. She will be able to select an item that she needs or wants for her birthday. You will receive a thank you up to letter six months after the gift is given.
