Emily (Employee), you asked me to let you know about the graduation letter for Juliet, which you indicated should come within 15 days. (I can't reply to your reply because the topic is closed, so I'm posting a new topic.) I just picked up the mail today (15 days after your reply), and still no letter. I'm wondering if there might be a technical glitch on your side? A couple of months ago Susan also said that she had requested this letter to be sent to us, but it never came. In the past two weeks I have received a request to send Christmas gifts and a letter from our other sponsored girl, Mary (with an extra picture! Yay!), so I don't think our address is the problem. Any idea why we're not getting the graduation notification? Thanks!

Tbmgvd, please accept my sincere apologies for the delay in receiving this letter. I want to thank you for your grace and patience as we are doing our best to ensure this letter reaches you.  If the address we have on file for you is correct and you are receiving other mailings from us (which I am encouraged to hear you are), then this letter should certainly have no problem successfully reaching your doorstep. I wonder, have you checked with your post office to see if they have any mail being held for you? I checked on your account today and have been informed that this letter should reach you soon as it was reprinted and mailed manually. In the case that for some reason this letter still does not reach you, I want to make sure and provide instructions for you on how to send a final letter and final gift to your child. This information is what you would normally find in the completion notification letter.

You are welcome and encouraged to send a final letter/card to your child to say goodbye and congratulate Juliet on successfully completing our program! Because she has not yet finished the program, you can either mail your letter to our office or visit www.compassion.com and write online through your My Account. Once she officially graduates from our program, we will contact you directly with this exciting news. If you choose to wait until this time to send her a goodbye letter, you will need to mail this directly to our office as she will no longer be accessible on your My Account once she leaves our program.  Your final words of encouragement will be something that she can save and treasure for years to come. You might consider enclosing an updated photo of yourself as well! We ask that you write the words 'Final Letter' at the top along with her child reference number and name so that it is processed correctly. A graduation gift is another option, but not an obligation, that you are welcome to send to Juliet. You can send anywhere from $10-$2000 and 100% of your gift will be given to Juliet to purchase what she needs most for a successful start in this next chapter of her life.

Here is the address for hand written letters:

Compassion International
[no street address necessary]
Colorado Springs, CO 80997-0004

Again, I am so very sorry for the issues there have been in our attempt to successfully get this notification to your address. I am unclear as to why there have been difficulties in it getting to you but I certainly hope that you receive it soon. I am truly grateful for the investment you have made in Juliet and for helping her reach this huge milestone that without your love and support, would have not been possible otherwise!

Thanks, Emily. I will check with the local post office. It is true that they are not always the most reliable; however, it does seem strange that multiple iterations of the same mailing have not come through, doesn't it? In any case, thanks very much for for the instructions! The information is very helpful. So Juliet will continue receiving letters I mail now, even though they probably won't get there before she graduates?

Again, thanks for all your help! I really appreciate the work that Compassion does and the opportunity I have had to invest in the life of this wonderful young lady. Her letters are proof that the Compassion program and my involvement with her have made a significant impact on her life. There's no better feeling!

Hi tbmgvd! Yes, you will be able to send letters anywhere between now and up to three months after Juliet officially completes the program and they will be delivered.
