After you've downloaded the app and logged in, your child should show on the main screen. This is what mine looks like when logged in

I just logged in as well and it says I am not sponsoring a child. Although, this is my first time and just received the welcome packet and how I am going to pay monthly. Is that why my child is not showing up yet?

If you log in to the website from your browser instead of the app can you see your child?
They released a new update to the app recently and it seems like there is an issue with new sponsors not being able to see their kids.

Hello Stacey, the reason that your child is not showing up on the account is because they are pending. The numbers for the credit card that were provided, may have been entered incorrectly. I show that we weren't able to process the donation. To process this donation, you can either give us a call at 800-336-7676, Mon-Fri from 7am to 5:30pm, Mountain Time or go to https://www.compassion.com/epayment. Once the contribution has been received and processed, you will be able to see your child on your app and start writing with them. Sorry about the confusion.
