I have contacted compassion several days ago because I have a letter from my sponsored child Isabela that I can't open. It is greyed out with a N/A on it. I've also sent a birthday gift as well as a Christmas gift and a family gift that I have not heard anything about. I should have received a photo of her along with the things purchased, but I have not. Please help me with this. Thank you

Hi Linda! Thank you for reaching out to us. I see that Isabela's most recent letter to you, written on April 13th, is still in translation. Until it's done being translated, you won't be able to read it, but there's nothing wrong with the letter. :)

I see that you sent a birthday gift in September of last year, and you should have received a thank-you letter with a photo by March, which you did not receive yet. It's possible that the letter that's currently in translation is a thank-you letter for that gift. Once it's done being translated, and if it is not a thank-you letter with a photo attached, let us know. We would be happy to send an inquiry to her center, requesting that a thank-you letter for that gift be sent to you.

In regards to the family gift you sent in February, since it takes two to three months for the gift to get to your child, and two to three months for their letter to reach you, we ask that you wait six months to receive the thank you letter. If you do not receive a letter by the end of August, please contact us again so we may contact our national office.

Lastly, regarding your Christmas gift, all Christmas donations are combined and then divided evenly among every child in our program, and we do this because we want every child to receive a gift and to be included in a special Christmas celebration at their church-based center. When sponsors give to the Christmas fund, it is not guaranteed that they'll receive a thank-you letter for that gift that they send. I apologize for any confusion this may have caused! Please let me know if you have any additional questions, or need any further explanation!
