I was assigned Zion as a correspondent on April 25th. I was told that this 16 year old boy had never received a letter from his very faithful financial sponsor. I've written him seven times since he was assigned to me. When I click on the "my letters" section of the account, it shows all seven letters "in translation". What is going on with these letters? How much longer does this child have to wait for a letter?

Unfortunately, at this point, some of the countries are having a bad time getting the new letter system going.  The letters are going through very slowly, but a few of the countries are months behind.  Hopefully when the programmers get things fixed and working well, our letters will go through rapidly (we can only hope).

Rachel, as we are going through this transitional phase, letters are continuing to take between two and three months to be processed and delivered to the children. I know it's really hard to sit and wait for them to be given to him, but rest assured that your letters are going to get to Zion! This sweet boy will be so encouraged when he does start receiving your letters. Thank you for loving on him well :).

There has been some movement in the system! One of my letters from my child that was sent in April came through and some others to my kids that had been pending for a while went through also. Now I have a question, Compassion staff. Yomaity's profile lists her birthday as September 16 but her letter says August 16. Can you please check to see which is correct.

Hi Chantel! I really believe it was just an error and misunderstanding and that her birthday in our records is correct. But I'll double check for you with our field office staff. Thanks for your patience as we verify her birthday.
