Assigned a new child without my consent

Hello. I was informed a few weeks ago that my sponsored child has left the compassion program and I was assigned a new child that I did not personally select. I would like to continue sponsoring a child, however, I would like to select my own child. Is there a way to remove the child that was selected for me and choose my own child? It also looks like I have been billed for the child that was selected for me. I would like for that charge to be removed from my account until I select a new child to sponsor.

Hello Rukayya, I am sorry about the confusion concerning Jhair. Please understand that our heart is to serve these children living in poverty and to try to find a sponsor for them as quickly as possible. We do not want to intentionally offend or upset anyone in the process. When Ronaldo left our program, we sent out a packet for Jhair. The packet asked that if you would not like to sponsor Jhair to please give us a call to let us know. We adopted this process at the request of many of our sponsors. I have made Jhair available for someone else to sponsor and have also requested a refund be processed back to your checking account. I updated your preferences on your account so that if you do sponsor another child and they leave the program for any reason that we will not assign a new child to your account. Please accept my apologies for this misunderstanding.
