Child’s birthday seems to have changed spontaneously? Has anyone else had this happen?

No never. I have been sponsoring Basside for eight years. I did get a thank you note telling me the stuff that he bought with his birthday money

I had a birthday on a child change. I didn't notice until I got the letter in the mail from Compassion about it.  So you might keep an eye out for that.

Hi Sam! Thank you for reaching out!  In many cultures, actual birth dates are not considered to be of great significance. A mother and father may not know exactly what day their child was born; only the year and perhaps the month may be known for sure. On the day your child was registered with Compassion, the project staff may not have had a birth certificate to go by and the day of birth was a "best guess" by the parent. However, sometimes, the parents will find the child's birth certificate or realize that a birth date was inputted into our system in error, in which case, we would process a change for the birth date. As Sarah mentioned, you should be getting a letter in the mail regarding this change!
