Recently, with the new letter system, I have been getting a blank 2nd page with each child's letter. It seems to be a glitch in the system because there is no reason for the blank page. It just has my name and child's name/number printed on it with the themed border. The first page contains the actual letter from the child and fits on the first page with no need for a second page. It really is a waste of paper/money and I hope this isn't a problem for others, but is this a known issue? Thank you.

Hi Michael! I am not sure what you are seeing on your end. Sometimes the online system shows some funky things that aren't actually there in our scanned copies. I apologize if you are seeing anything weird like that. I looked at all of your letters over the last few months, and only one letter from Sweet Pearl that was written in September had a blank second page. All of the other letters were full. It looked like maybe Sweet Pearl's letter had a blank second page because it was the back side of the letter stationary and she only filled up the front side. I hope this makes a little more sense.

Ok, thank you. I will let you know if I continue to receive blank pages in the mail.

I guess what I mean is if the back side of the letter stationary is left blank by the child, is it possible that the system could know not to print it out for sponsors since it's a waste of paper? It seems like it would be an easy fix, but it may not be a known issue. Thanks.

Michael, I will certainly suggest looking into this in the future. Right now, we are still in transition to the new letter system that scans and sends the letters digitally. Because we are still in transition, we are still working through bugs and working to make this system better. Our list of fixes is long at the moment. That said, it may be possible to look into this once all the current fixes are underway. I want to also add that for many sponsors, we are delivering their letters only electronically, and therefore an extra page would not be a waste of paper because we are not printing it anyway. That said, in those instances where we are printing, you are right that we may be able to save the extra page.
