Can I cancel a cancellation?

Hi. I've been sponsoring a child since the beginning of this year, and I enjoying doing it very much. Unfortunately I ran into financial problem (I lost my job and haven't been able to find another one for months) and a few days ago, I requested to cancel my sponsorship. I got a reply and said it is cancelled for me. 2 days later I talked to my dad (because I was a bit upset) and he said he is happy to pay for the monthly donation for me until I have regular income again.

My question is, will I be able to cancel the cancellation of my sponsorship to my child? (The whole thing is less than a week old) Or the child is immediately assigned to a new sponsor? (If this is what happen, good enough!)

I did email support, but those usually take days to get a reply so I post it here as well to see if any staff will pick this up.

Adri, I know how difficult it had to have been for you to give Cyrus up, and it sounds like you have quite a compassionate father who loves you very dearly! I have put Cyrus back on your account this morning. To have your dad start making donations, please sign into your online account and click on "Payment Options" if he plans to have the donations taken out of his account automatically every month or "Make A Payment" if he prefers to make them manually when he can each month. Also, is he able to make a donation for July? If not, I will just need to cover the month for you so it doesn't show your account as behind. I will be praying for you to find another job that you enjoy quickly :). Blessings!

Hi Sarah,

Thank you so much for your quick response and action! I am so glad that I am able to continue sponsor Cyrus. Just want to confirm one thing: Is everything the same as before without interruption?

I have just made my donation for July with my card, is my account status back to normal now? As for future donations, I will just continue paying it with my credit card like before, and dad will take care of the credit card bill. I am very grateful to him.

Yes, everything will be exactly the same as before :). It usually takes at least 24 hours for us to see donations made online, but I'd be happy to check on your account next week to make sure everything got set back up correctly. I'll let you know when I see it go through!
