I've seen responses that you can give up to $1000 to the family. What if I do a fundraiser for the sponsor and get more than $1000? I want to ensure all of my money goes to them. Is there anyway Compassion can ensure it all goes to my sponsor's family?

You can donate more than $1000 to your child's center. Or you can donate $1000 this year nad $1000 next year, etc.

Hi Chris! You are welcome to give up to $1,000 per year in family gifts. If you fundraise more than that, you can also give up to two child gifts between $10 and $100 during the year, including birthday. I would then recommend either saving the rest of the amount for later use or donating it to your child's center, which would then be able to use funds on an item that they may be in need of. Project gifts can be given between $100 and $2,000 per year. I hope that helps!

Am I correct in reading the above to mean I can gift my sponsored child a total of $200 in two separate gifts as long as neither individual gift exceeds $100? And that’s per calendar year?
