On "My Sponsored Children" it says one child's right foot is disabled. Is there any way I could learn more about this, perhaps specifics of his condition and details of if and how I can help?

His number is BD041800171. Thanks!

Hi Bethany,
Thank you so much for your wonderful heart to want to bless your sweet child and help them if at all possible! It truly makes my heart smile to know that you really want to dig into this child's life and help! Regrettably, Compassion is not able to inquire about health related issues with our kiddos, as this goes against our health policy, which is kind of like HIPPA in America. However, you are absolutely more than welcome to ask about this in your child letters if you feel comfortable. I know this may be a difficult topic to bring up, but that is really the only way to learn more about it and how you might be able to help. Thank you again for wanting to help and also for understanding that we can't inquire!

Also I was wondering: if there any way to write a letter to the leader of his center, perhaps to ask about his condition?

Hello Bethany. You are very sweet to be concerned about Akash's condition and for wanting to help him. I completely understand your desire to get answers. Regrettably, we can not inquire about a child's health. There really is no way to directly communicate about this with the leader of the child development center either. This really is something you would have to directly ask Akash about. It is up to him to decide if he wants to share information about it. I know it can be a touchy topic to bring up, but the answers have to come from him. I am sorry, and appreciate your understanding.
