I sponsor a 5 year old boy in Mexico, and wondered if it would be appropriate for me to include a note to his parents in the next letter I send him? He is very young, and writes the most charming letters... and, I confess, extra special to me because all of my other sponsor kiddos are girls. :) I just wondered if I could tell his parents that I'm praying for them, too?

I do. I think it's a great idea :) I always tell them to give the note to their parents or siblings

I don't know if it is allowed or not, but I did it.  I wrote my youngest one a note to give to his mother.  She is a single parent and I thought she could you some encouraging words too.  I haven't heard back from him yet, so I don't know if she got it or if she can even read.  I didn't get word from CI that they didn't send it.  He just turned 5 this month, so he is very young too.
