Her bio says she likes to draw and I'd love to send her some art supplies. I wouldn't mind paying the shipping costs.

Payton, the only way to get things like that to your kids, is to visit them, or find somebody who will be visiting her center, and have them carry something to her.

Hi Payton,

It is such a wonderful thought to send coloring supplies to your little girl! Regrettably, Gary is correct, we are not able to send any type of package to the kiddos. However, another idea would be to send a monetary gift to your child. We are able to send gifts to our the children anywhere from $10-$100, and you can do this twice a year, not to exceed $200. You are welcome to include a note along with this donation requesting that she use this to buy art supplies. Please do keep in mind that because the needs of these families change so frequently, we cannot guarantee that your gift will be used for these supplies, but that it may used on something of higher priority. This sometimes will happen if the family is in greater need of food, clothing, shoes, etc.

If you would like help processing a gift to Woudnia, please let us know and we would be happy to help!

This may be a silly question, but does the year start when we begin sponsorship or on January 1st? I ask because I began sponsoring a young woman in June of last year and plan to soon send her a family gift, which would put my total gifts sent to her since my sponsorship began at over $200.

Hi Briana, the gift limits are based on a calendar year beginning January 1st. I don't think that's a silly question. I've asked that before too. :) But family gifts are separate from child gifts anyway. We can send between $25-$1,000 per year as a family gift so the total you can give including a family gift is $1,200 per year.

Hi Briana! That is definitely not a silly question :). Thank you so much for your generous heart to bless Osius! Adam is correct; you can give give $10-$100 as a birthday gift, $10-$100 as a general gift, and $25-$1000 as a family gift in one calendar year. The two gifts you gave to Osius were given in 2016, so you are all good to send gifts in 2017 :).
