I print the letters I receive off to PDF so I have them.  IF you have sponsored the child for a specific length of time (2 years?) before graduation, I believe you have the option to release your ID information. Then it will be up to the child if they contact you afterward.

What if I can't see her letters anymore?

If you have the emails, you can access them from the link in those. Otherwise you'll need to get the social media ladies to find them for you.

My two sponsored kids recently graduated at the ages of 20 and 22. I was told on two different calls that I can’t keep in contact with them which is such a disappointment since I sponsored both of them for 15 years. I read on the compassion website that we can sign a document to share our contact info with the kids, so I’m wondering why I got conflicting information. I sent a message to compassion just now, so we’ll see what they say.

Hello, Jessica! I'm so sorry that you were told that you wouldn't be able to pass along your contact information to your two students who graduated. That was not accurate information. Compassion International does give sponsors the opportunity to continue to stay in contact with their children once the children graduate the program. We do discourage this due to privacy and safety concerns, as well as a few other difficulties, but if you feel this is something you would like more information about, please visit the following webpage: https://www.compassion.com/post-departure.htm and download the two documents available.

- Carefully review the document titled Things to Consider when Releasing your Contact Information
- Print the document titled Post-Departure Contact Release Waiver and fill out the form with your information
- Mail the completed release waiver to our address below, or scan and email the waiver to us at sdrsupport@us.ci.org for processing.

Hopefully this clears things up for you!

Is there a way to get an update on my child who has already graduated the program a few years ago?

Hi Cassie! Sadly, after a child leaves Compassion's program, we don't have any way of keeping up with that child past about 6 months post-graduation. I apologize, and pray your child is thriving! Please let us know if you have any more questions.
