I'm going to learn to drive (get my driver's permit) in a couple of weeks. I'm excited about that, but I don't know if I should share that with my sponsor child because of the economic difference. Is it ok to tell her that, or should I say something else?

Hi Meici! How exciting that you get to learn how to drive soon! You're not talking about buying a car and how much your spending, etc. Those are the types of things we try to avoid talking to the kids about in letters. So yes, you're more than welcome to talk to your kiddo about learning to drive :). I bet she'll love to hear your news and how things work over here in the US. Driving laws are very different from country to country, and so are driving ages. So it might be a great subject to discuss and very educational and interesting for your child!
