I just received my first correspondence from my sponsored child, as well as a letter from her pastor! I am so thrilled to have both, which leads me to my question: can I write to/keep in correspondence with her pastor? Sree is only 4 years old so I understand her writing skills are very limited, but I would like to keep "in the know" on things to pray for concerning her spiritual and physical health. I would also like to know how to pray for the church on a regular basis, as needs change and the church is the epicenter of growth for Sree and her community. Is this possible? Again, I am so excited to finally hear from her, and I greatly appreciate the communication from her pastor! :)

Hi Nikki.I'm also a sponsor. What I do when I write a letter to my sponsor child is add something for the pastor and staff to read.Since I've been on sponsor tours and individual trips, definitely worth the cost,I've seen first hand the needs of the partner church.

When you write and add something for the pastor just ask your sponsor child to show the letter to him. She'll be glad to do so.

Hi Nikki! Regrettably, we are not able to send letters to pastors directly at this time. However, you are welcome to do as William has suggested, and enclose a small note to your child's pastor in with your letters for your child.
