Can I send my child a reusable sticker set? I have provided a link to help show what I am asking about.

Hi Suzanne! Great idea! This is going to be so fun for your sponsored child! I'm happy to report that we can send reusable stickers like these to the children. :)

I got the reusable stickers and they are larger than expected. I can fold them or cut them down. How can I send them as a set? I read through another thread that we may not send items in a labeled zip lock bag. Can I send items in a sealed envelope(It would have to be a large manila envelope,8.5x11), or what are the recommendations for this?

That sounds great, Suzanne! How fun! I usually recommend envelopes for sending items like this.

Thank you, and I am sorry but just to be sure, can I seal the envelope with tape?

Just to clarify, we do open all items to make sure they can be sent. However, tape can be used on items when we send them.

Hi Suzanna! I just bought these same stickers this weekend for my boys! How did you end up sending them? Were you able to fold them all and mail in one shot?

I send these to my kids every now and then.....
I fold the play sheet into 3 sections and cut up the stickers so they fit in the middle. I will secure the stickers to the sheet with a little tape and then use a little tape to close up the sheet. You can send it in a large envelope , just fold and tape the envelope down to the Compassion size guidelines. I always send 1 sheet at a time so that it will last longer... But I imagine you could send 2-3 sheets in one envelope and still meet the size guidelines. :-)

This is very cool! Thank you guys for posting about this. This will be my 1st Christmas with compassion, and shortly after is her birthday! I have been wracking my brain trying to figure out what I can send (aside from money), that is creative and cute for a 7 year old. My daughter is also 7, so I have been bouncing ideas off of her, and we came across these stickers and I was wondering the same thing about sending them. Our sponsor child and my daughter are only 12 days apart in age, my daughter picked her, and has been coloring up a storm for her to let her know she has a family here.

i can wait to get these and send them!

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Reusable Stickers.

I am building up a stock pile of goodies to send to our sponsor child and correspondent child. I ran across these super cute reusable sticker sets at Walmart the other day. They were only $2.97 and they had sets for boys and girls!  They do meet the mailing requirements, but I am wondering if I should remove them from the cardboard packaging (it is thin cardboard) or if it is ok to send them as is?

Sarah, I'm hoping it will NOT be scanned.  The backgrounds are waxy and the stickers will not stick to a scan :) Hope that makes sense.  I'm wondering if the original background will go through with stickers.  The backgrounds are people and the stickers are their clothes so it wouldn't make sense to send all the clothes if the waxy people background won't make it through as original when I attach the stickers to it.

I may just stick to sending it to the kids on my Canadian account lol

Teresa, If you are talking about a usual sticker background (like the part that goes around the stickers and that the stickers are stuck to) then, no that would not be scanned.

Jennifer, I understand the desire to get as much as possible through but would recommend sending several smaller batches rather than a whole bunch in one. It is generally best to keep your mailings simple to ensure that they will go through. Depending on how large the sheets of stickers are, you might send them as they are. I regrettably cannot guarantee that smaller stickers taped to a sheet of paper will go through.

Hi Susan, no I didn't mean that, I mean like the background is a picture, a scene, and the stickers stick to it and are removeable from it so you can create the scene how you like.  Maybe I'll take a photo after haha!

Hi Teresa,
In order to make sure that a sticker background of this type will go through, the stickers need to be on it. They cannot be separate or the sheet of laminated paper will not go through. I hope that helps to clarify just a tad. :)
