Hi Suzanne! Great idea! This is going to be so fun for your sponsored child! I'm happy to report that we can send reusable stickers like these to the children. :)

I got the reusable stickers and they are larger than expected. I can fold them or cut them down. How can I send them as a set? I read through another thread that we may not send items in a labeled zip lock bag. Can I send items in a sealed envelope(It would have to be a large manila envelope,8.5x11), or what are the recommendations for this?

That sounds great, Suzanne! How fun! I usually recommend envelopes for sending items like this.

Thank you, and I am sorry but just to be sure, can I seal the envelope with tape?

Just to clarify, we do open all items to make sure they can be sent. However, tape can be used on items when we send them.

Hi Suzanna! I just bought these same stickers this weekend for my boys! How did you end up sending them? Were you able to fold them all and mail in one shot?

I send these to my kids every now and then.....
I fold the play sheet into 3 sections and cut up the stickers so they fit in the middle. I will secure the stickers to the sheet with a little tape and then use a little tape to close up the sheet. You can send it in a large envelope , just fold and tape the envelope down to the Compassion size guidelines. I always send 1 sheet at a time so that it will last longer... But I imagine you could send 2-3 sheets in one envelope and still meet the size guidelines. :-)

This is very cool! Thank you guys for posting about this. This will be my 1st Christmas with compassion, and shortly after is her birthday! I have been wracking my brain trying to figure out what I can send (aside from money), that is creative and cute for a 7 year old. My daughter is also 7, so I have been bouncing ideas off of her, and we came across these stickers and I was wondering the same thing about sending them. Our sponsor child and my daughter are only 12 days apart in age, my daughter picked her, and has been coloring up a storm for her to let her know she has a family here.

i can wait to get these and send them!

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Reusable Stickers.

I am building up a stock pile of goodies to send to our sponsor child and correspondent child. I ran across these super cute reusable sticker sets at Walmart the other day. They were only $2.97 and they had sets for boys and girls!  They do meet the mailing requirements, but I am wondering if I should remove them from the cardboard packaging (it is thin cardboard) or if it is ok to send them as is?

Sarah, I'm hoping it will NOT be scanned.  The backgrounds are waxy and the stickers will not stick to a scan :) Hope that makes sense.  I'm wondering if the original background will go through with stickers.  The backgrounds are people and the stickers are their clothes so it wouldn't make sense to send all the clothes if the waxy people background won't make it through as original when I attach the stickers to it.

I may just stick to sending it to the kids on my Canadian account lol

Teresa, If you are talking about a usual sticker background (like the part that goes around the stickers and that the stickers are stuck to) then, no that would not be scanned.

Jennifer, I understand the desire to get as much as possible through but would recommend sending several smaller batches rather than a whole bunch in one. It is generally best to keep your mailings simple to ensure that they will go through. Depending on how large the sheets of stickers are, you might send them as they are. I regrettably cannot guarantee that smaller stickers taped to a sheet of paper will go through.

Hi Susan, no I didn't mean that, I mean like the background is a picture, a scene, and the stickers stick to it and are removeable from it so you can create the scene how you like.  Maybe I'll take a photo after haha!

Hi Teresa,
In order to make sure that a sticker background of this type will go through, the stickers need to be on it. They cannot be separate or the sheet of laminated paper will not go through. I hope that helps to clarify just a tad. :)

Hello, I would like to send some reusable stickers to my sponsor child. Could I please get the mailing address that I should send them to and the mailing guidelines and how I make sure it goes to my specific sponsor child? I read above 6 pages total per package sent it? Thank you! I just started sponsoring my 3 year old little boy in Oct. 2018 and I'm so excited to send him something to play with. We I be notified once my package is sent or once it arrives? Thanks for any info (I'm new to all this)!

Hi Sarah,

Congratulations on your new sweet child! :)

This post was made in 2014 and since then we have changed some of our guidelines. I would hate to advise you incorrectly. Can you please provide a few more details on these stickers for me?

Do you happen to have pictures of these stickers? I would like to know if they are on a regular sticker background, or do they come in a booklet, etc.

We do encourage you to send letters and cards as often as possible. Please always include your sponsor ID number, your child's ID number and their full name. Please know that the only physical items that are able to be sent are musical cards, bookmarks and stickers. All of these items must be 100% paper. Anytime you send something to your child, please make sure to keep it to six pages or less. All letters, coloring pages or pictures will be scanned into an electronic document, unless otherwise noted above, and then printed in the child's country office to be delivered. This is why I need just a little more detail on these stickers, as if they need a special background, this might not be sent... Just want to make sure we can confirm before you send. :)

Furthermore, you will not really get a confirmation that your package has arrived. But, you can absolutely log in online at Compassion.com and from there you can see when your letters have been scanned and translated. Have you had a chance to log into your online account? If not, I can absolutely assist you with that as well. Please email us privately at socialmedia@compassion.com and that way we can provide you your log in information. Please also include your child number and/or your sponsor number. Thank you so much!

Hello Shannon, thank you so much for your reply! I couldn't figure out how to upload a picture to this Q&A post, but I can provide a link to the product I purchased online: https://www.amazon.com/Reusable-Stick.... I'm planning to cut the background sheet(s) to fit the 8.5X11 requirement and I will do the same for the sticker sheet(s). If this will work would it be best to go ahead & stick the reusable stickers on the background sheet or just leave the stickers on their original paper? I think I will only send 1 background & 1 sticker sheet at a time along with my letter to my child (which would make 3 pages total). I really hope these will go through. Its a simple toy, but I think he would really enjoy them and they are perfectly flat. Thanks for all of your help! I will remember to put our #'s & our names on the back of all pages that I send.

Hi Sarah! Thank you so much for sending us that information. That is such a cute idea! Regrettably, because the stickers you are wanting to send are not 100% paper, we would be unable to send them. You could definitely send the background sheets along with some regular stickers, but we are unable to send the stickers that come with those sheets. I'm so sorry about that! Thank you so much for your desire to bless your new sponsored kiddo with these thoughtful gifts. :)

Thank you for your quick reply. I'm a bit bummed, but I completely understand. I will see if I can maybe find regular stickers with animals and send those with the background sheets. Do you know on average how long this small gift will take to get to Africa? Just curious. Thanks & have a blessed week! <3

Hi Sarah, you're very welcome. I completely understand your disappointment, and I'm so sorry! These gifts usually take approximately 6 - 8 weeks to reach the children. Thank you so much again for wanting to bless your child. :)
