Can I write a letter in my sponsor child's language so it doesn't have to be translated?

My sponsor child lives in Ecuador where the spoken language is Spanish. I can speak and write in Spanish. Would this be okay? Also, would it speed up the mailing process? Thanks!

I have a sponsored child in Ecuador too :)

Yes, you can definitely write to him/her in Spanish if you wish. It won't speed up the process much as it has to go through translation still. It has to go through translation to make sure that it is in the right dialect and such of your sponsored child. I am sure though that your child would LOVE to read your words in his/her native tongue!! :)
