Hello Catherine! I am sorry to hear about your financial hardship. I can certainly assist with canceling your sponsorship of Amilcar. Before I process your cancellation request, I would like to let you know that Compassion values you as a sponsor and we would love the opportunity to walk alongside of you during this difficult season. In honor of your commitment to Compassion and your relationship with Amilcar, I would like to cover the next three months of sponsorship. This would take care of August, September and October. You would not need to make up these contributions. This would allow us some time to see how things unfold in the coming months before canceling. If nothing has changed come November, we can always find a new sponsor for Amilcar at that time. Please let me know if you will allow me to do this.  

Unfortunately we are not in a spot where we can do that. We are expecting my husband to lose work in November. If this is something we feel we can take up again, we will sponsor another child. Thank you for the offer however but I will need to decline.
