I had set up my account for automatic deductions during the month but there would be times when it wouldn't come out. So, I checked the card I had on file and it is the correct one and isn't expired. I am frustrated because this has happened before and that is why I set up automatic deduction, so I wouldn't forget and get hit with a very large bill. However, I set it up and still end up getting hit with a letter that says I owe a ton in back payment when it is supposed to be automatically coming out. I feel that I am throwing extra money to Compassion and I really don't have the extra money to throw.

I am so sorry for the confusion on your account. It looks like somehow there was an issue with your card matching your name on the account. When this happens our accounting system must create a duplicate account with the same name on the card in order to pull from your account. Unfortunately, this did cause some issues with your payments. I am so sorry, as I wish we were able to catch this sooner so that we could fix this and allow you to continue your relationship with your kiddos. Again, I apologize for our error and I have taken care of canceling your sponsorships.
If you would like, you may write your kiddos a final letter. Please write “Final Letter” across the top of the correspondence, along with your child's name and child's number. Please send your letter to Compassion's address below:

Thank you again for all that you have done to bless your children over the years!
