Hello Candace, I am sorry to hear that you lost your job. I know that can be very tough and stressful. I see that your sponsorship was just started on, May 3, 2018. I appreciate that you chose to sponsor Yosmairy with Compassion and for your desire to help a child living in poverty. I would love to help you out during this tough time and keep you connected with Yosmairy if possible. I can pause your contributions for three months to give you some time to find a new job and get back on your feet. This would take care of the months of May, June and July. Your contribution for the support of Yosmairy would not resume until August. During this time you would still be able to write letters to her and begin your relationship. Please let me know if this would work for you or not. In the meantime, I have stopped the automatic recurring contribution from your credit card. I have also submitted a request to have a refund processed for you. The processing team typically processes these requests within a day or two. However, it may take your financial institution 7-10 days to make this available on your card. You would want to check with them for further information. I am sorry if this causes you any inconvenience.

Hi Candace! I am happy to hear that you would like to continue your sponsorship of Yosmairy. I know she will be very happy to learn that she has a new sponsor and to start receiving your letters. I see that our processing team was able to process your refund at 11:26 AM MST. I have taken care of May, June and July's contributions for Yosmairy to give you a little time to work everything out. I would encourage sending out your introductory letter for her. You can also write online or by using our free mobile app. Welcome to the Compassion family! I hope that God will lead you to the right job opportunity quickly.

Candace, I'm sorry to hear that the card we used to refund your $38 to was cancelled by your bank. Regrettably, due to IRS and tax laws, we are not able to refund your donation to a different card then the original card number used. If your refund does not go through, then we will need to send your refund to you via check. However, banks will often still accept refunds for cancelled cards, so please allow at least one week for your refund to show up in your bank account. If you do not see your refund appear in your bank account in one week, please let us know, and we'll be happy to look into this for you. Also, because we take card information security and PCI compliance very seriously, we are not able to accept payment information via this help forum, social media, email, or chat. If you would like to update your card information, I encourage you to make this update securely through your online My Account or by calling us at 1-800-336-7676. We are available to help you Monday - Friday, from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Mountain Time. Please let us know if you have any additional questions or concerns. Have a blessed day!
