I have just looked over my account with compassion and according to your records I owe you $702.00.I have never missed a payment to compassion and I have been with compassion for many, many years.  I have never seen such a mess of record keeping until now collecting checks in different amounts that have been written on the original amount. Cashing checks 4or 5 months after they were written. Unable to correct the statement after 5 or 6 months later.  I have sent compassion a check for the month of August 2017. But after viewing the statement will be the last one.  I no longer work and the ability to make payments to compassion has become difficult to make ends meet. So I have decided to cancel my sponsorship.

macko60us, I am so sorry for the frustration in regards to our accounting system. You may be aware that we updated our systems in January and have had particular issues in processing checks since the switch to the new system. We sincerely apologize for all of these transaction issues and have been working hard to get them all corrected for our supporters. I can see that you have been very faithful in your giving even amidst our issues. We have greatly appreciated your support and partnership in the lives of children for over thirty years! That is such a long time and regardless of what happens we are so grateful for all that you have already done for children in poverty. I just adjusted the amount that it says that you owe. I understand that continuing to sponsor so many children may be difficult on limited or no income. Please do let us know if there is anyway that we can correct these wrongs or if you still need to cancel some or all of your sponsored children.
