I have a letter from my sponsor child I can’t open. It looks as if it may have been canceled and I was wanting to know why.

Hi Rachel! Actually, that letter you see is still going through the translation process, which is why you can't open it. As soon as the processing has finished, you will be able to open it :).

It has now been two weeks since your reply to my question and I am still unable to see my letter from my sponsor child. How long does it normally take for these letters to be translated?

Hello Rachel! It looks like your letter is still in translation at this time. Each field office is a bit different of how they fast they translate each letter. It should be done soon, but we do not have an estimated time when it would be done, since it is translated within the field office staff. Thank you so much for your patience during this time! If you have any further questions, please let us know and we will be happy to assist you.

Madison,

I’ve finally received my letter but there was no mention of the large family gift I had given to my sponsor child or what they may have got with it. I mostly want to confirm she got this gift and is aware of it. When I sent her a small birthday gift my reply listed every thing she bought with the money so I was hoping for the same with this larger gift. Any idea of why this was left out?

Hi Rachel! I am so glad you finally received your letter :). Is it the $200 gift you sent in March that you are referring to? If so, it can actually take up to six months to receive the thank you letter regarding a gift like this. If you don't receive that special thank you letter and the photo of what they purchased since your gift was over $60 by September 30th, please let us know so we can send an inquiry on your behalf! I can confirm that the gift has been sent to her. It usually does take about 2 months for these gifts to be delivered to the children and their families from the time you send them.

I noticed that a letter from my sponsored girl says that it was cancelled. I understand these things happen, but I was just wondering if it is still being processed or if there was some other reason.

Hi Sarah,
I am so sorry to see this letter was canceled. It looks like it was submitted before your child was able to draw a picture for you. Since they are under eight, we must have them draw a picture for you. The child center will just have them draw a picture and it will be back on your account soon! :)

Great! I hope to see it soon. (She is over 8 now, but I do still love to get her drawings!)
