Cancel please. I'm not as disappointed in not hearing anything from my child as it has been only been a few months, but I am more disappointed in the fact that the only contacts I receive are requests for additional donations and direct access to my checking account, and packets of 'new pictures' that are the same pictures I have already received. Ramona, I am so sorry that your experience with Compassion has not been a good one and has led you to making the decision to cancel. I completely understand that the numerous appeals we send to sponsors can leave a dissatisfying taste in your mouth :(. I can certainly cancel the sponsorship for you if we need to. Before I do that, I actually can help with the issues that are making you want to cancel. I can actually adjust what we send you in the mail so that you aren't receiving appeals requesting any extra donations from you or receiving your donations by bank account information if you'd like me to do so. I believe what you received with the pictures was the welcome packet on your new child. Is that right? It should have said "Angel and You" on the front of it. Did you receive something else with the same photos of her in the mail? It does take time for the first letter to arrive from your child. Though it can take up to four months since the date you sponsor the child, I do actually see that Angel's first letter is currently going through our translation process and should be available for you to read soon. Please let me know if you still need to cancel or if the changes I made to your mailings and the additional information I provided will help you be able to continue. I'm happy to honor your request either way.
