Can't create an account because don't have sponsor number.

I'm writing on behalf of my father. He started sponsoring a boy a week and half ago but can't create his account because he doesn't have both his sponsor and child number. We are from outside the US and so need a sponsor number to create an account. He is feeling sad because can't correspond with the child. His e-mail address is heduken_43@hotmail.com Could you please help?

Thank you Mackenzie for your help! He was able to set up his online account but now he has another issue, his child is not associated to his account. My father appears as sponsoring no child, when he is actually sponsoring ANIK from Bangladesh as of 26 September 2019, but the child does not appear in his account. He has no data for payments, sponsorships, letters, etc. He doesn't have the child's ID either. Could you please help him associate his child to the account? Thank you very much.

I'm so sorry for the complications! I tried the card again, but I still received a pre-authorization failure. If the card is an international debit card, we cannot process donations from it. If it is a credit card, it should work properly. I would recommend trying to process the sponsorship again at our website www.compassion.com/epayment using this child number: BD041800200. You should be able to start the sponsorship from there using a credit card.

Thank you Mackenzie, we have just processed the sponsorship again but with another credit card. It seems it was authorized, but still we don't see the child information in his account, it is not associated yet, should we allow some time for the set up? Please let me know to make sure everything is working now. Thank you!

Hi, Ruth! Thank you for continuing to work with us on this. I am so sorry for this continuing issue. Sadly, Anik is still showing as "pending". There are no transactions for his sponsorship showing on our end. I would encourage you to maybe wait one day to see if he shows up on Henry's account. If he does not show by Friday, would you please let us know? We might have more information by then.
