I started sponsoring a child on March 5th. I have not received my sponsor packet and when I tried to create an account to look at everything online, the system did not recognize my email address and zip code. I don't know how to get any information about my account now and would really appreciate help getting that fixed!

UPDATE: I opened my account, but my child is not on there! What happened? I know I received the receipt for sponsoring him.

Hi MHirsch! I'm so sorry for the difficulties you have been experiencing with accessing your account and seeing your new sponsor child. I am happy to help you though! Please rest assured that if you have received your confirmation email, then the child you chose is indeed yours. Regrettably, we have been experiencing a delay in processing new sponsorships which may be why you are not seeing your child on your account yet. I would be happy to look further into this for you, but I was unable to locate your account using your email address and name. Will you please provide your sponsor number, child's number, or your full name and zip code? Thank you!

Thanks! I talked to someone on the phone yesterday and was glad to hear that I can still sponsor this child! My full name and zip code are Mikayla Hirsch 80134. They told me yesterday that the tech side would have to look into everything and she wasn't sure how long it would take. Is there anything I should do in the meantime or is waiting enough? Thank you so much for your reply! I am so excited to get started with my sponsorship!

Mikayla, I can see that we are working on this issue for you and your child is still on hold waiting to be sponsored by you. There is nothing you need to do at this point but you are welcome to send a physical letter to your child introducing yourself! Please just make sure to put his child number on the letter and send it to:

Compassion International
Colorado Springs, CO 80997-0004

I have been watching my account and he is still not on there. How long do you think it will it take for the issue to be resolved?

Hi Mikaya,
I am so sorry but regrettably, I do not have an estimated time frame of when this will be fixed and your kiddo will be on your account. Due to India closing, we are roughly six weeks behind in processing accounts. I hope that we can get this processed for you quicker than that. We thank you so much for your patience and kindness and we work to get this resolved for you!

Hi again! I am still waiting to get my child on my account and was going to write a letter to him in the mean time, but was told on the phone that I can't write to him until he is on my account and that he doesn't know I'm his sponsor yet. Can I write him yet or should I wait? Can I write him if I don't have his child #?

MHirsch, you are welcome to write a physical letter with his child number (BO042500804) on it and mail the letter to:

Compassion International
Colorado Springs, CO 80997-0004

I just sent your case to our technical team. Hopefully by the time it arrives in the mail we will have your account straightened out.

Any special stationary requirements? Can I use normal paper and just right the sponsor name/# and child name/# on the top right hand corner? Also, can I have his full name?

Unless I don't need the full name. I know the first two.

Hi MHirsch! You can absolutely write on your own paper :). As long as we have your sponsor number and his child number, we are able to process the letter. You don't need his full name, but it is Alvin Rodrigo Mendoza Apaza just for your records! Enjoy writing to him!
