Hi Sonja. With Florance very close to Chennai, I am sure you are worried! This heavy rain is still going on in her area with some flooding and power outages affecting the city. Please, please pray for Florance and her family, her friends and project workers, and everyone living in the area as this storm continues. Our India office will keep us updated as more information becomes available.

Any information coming out of India about which development centers have been affected? Vinthresson is in #606 in Vallioor, southern India.

Hi Linda! I appreciate your care and concern for your child! We do have a list of eight centers with families in Chennai who were affected by the flooding and continue to receive information from India on the storm. We are contacting people individually if their child was affected. Thankfully, Tamilnadu and Andhra Pradesh are experiencing some relief as the rains have subsided to a light drizzle. Also, let me assure you that Vinthresson and IN606 are doing just fine as per the most recent report. :)
