I was wondering when one holds an event at their church, how does Compassion choose which child info packets to send...does the person holding the event get to choose or does CI just choose and send them? Thanks.

Hi Elizabeth! Most often, Compassion selects which children are sent to an event (children that are not currently at another event or online). If certain requests are made for a specific country that the church event planner would like child packets for, we will do our best to fulfill the request. However this is not encouraged as we cannot guarantee that we can meet the request based on availability of children. Compassion will select children still needing loving sponsors and based on your church size, we will send you the number of packets we believe will meet the needs of your church. Included with the materials are a pad of sign-up forms. These can be used if a church was to run out of packets.
