I just got a letter saying that my child I sponsor in Uganda has moved out of the area. Can someone help me and check into this situation? I wonder if there is more information as to why he moved and if he is OK?

Crissy, I am so sorry that your child Sumairi has left the program unexpectedly due to a family move :(. I do see that a final letter is being sent to you, which should arrive in the next few months and may give you more information on why his family moved. Though we don't have information in our system with the details on why he left, usually a move is for a good reason. A parent could have received a new, better paying job or found better housing for the family to live in. I do know that Sumairi has been most encouraged by your sponsorship because you encouraged him in his dreams and to continue his schooling. Thank you so much for the love and encouragement you shared with him!

I don't want my sponsorship transferred to another child. Does that happen automatically? Do I have another letter coming? I read one from december online and it didn't give any explanation at all to why he moved.

Hello Crissy! We do have a child placed on hold for consideration for you. I have made sure we do not place that child fully on your account. If you receive anything in the mail about another child, you can disregard it because I have taken care of it for you! I do see another letter from in our system. This letter is from the project director at Sumairi's center. You should receive this letter in the mail very shortly!
