I have been supporting my child for 11 years now. He is about to turn 18. What happens when he is 18 and done with school? When does Compassion's and my support cease?

There are a lot of different factors which decide how long a child stays in the Compassion program. One of those factors is what country your child is from. I know many of the African countries allow participation in the program until the child is 21 or 22. If you go to your account on the website, access your child's record under My Sponsorships. Under the schooling section on the Child Information tab, there is listed a completion date. If your child's completion date isn't listed, you can call Compassion and ask. I love calling with questions, the Compassion staff are always super helpful. Thank you for being so faithful in your sponsorship, it truly makes a difference in the lives of these kids!

Hi Mandy! It looks like your sponsored child in India is planning to complete the program around April of 2018. However, you may continue for however long as you are able or feel led.

Thank you so much for all that you've done for him! It looks like he is an excellent student and is doing very well. You're support and encouragement have made a huge difference already!
