Children departing can't write final letters?

Hello,
Just yesterday, I found out that my Happiness, from Tanzania, has departed the program. She apparently has moved. I was shocked as I had no idea about this. I happened to see she was gone from my app and my account so I called Compassion to see what was wrong. I am heartbroken as I have sponsored her for 7 years and was hoping to go visit her next year. She is only 16 so I thought I had a few more years with her. I know that when they graduate, they are able to write a final letter, but is it not the same for the children that depart suddenly? I don't know if I can even write her a "goodbye" either. Sounds silly but it's like I have no closure. Feels like she just disappeared. Sorry for such a lengthy post.

Hello Lauren. I can understand that you are sad about Happiness leaving the program after sponsoring her for seven years. I also understand that you would like to be able to write her a letter to say good-bye. Happiness and her family moved to an area that Compassion does not serve. Regrettably, since they are in area we do not serve, it is unlikely that we will be able to get her a final letter. The reason that you had not heard from Compassion yet, is because we were just made aware of her leaving the program. We sent out a letter to notify you on, June 22, 2019. According to our records, you called in yesterday, June 24, 2019. So, the letter we sent you has probably not reached you yet. I would encourage you to trust in God at this time. He loves Happiness more than we can even imagine and he is with her. She has spent a good amount of time at the church partner and we can pray that she has built a personal relationship with Jesus and is seeking his will for her life. Through your letters and sponsorship, you have truly blessed her life and made a huge impact. I am certain that she will carry you in her heart for the rest of her life and you will be reunited in heaven. I am sorry that these are not the answers that you probably want to hear, but regrettably there really is nothing more that we can do. God is in control and he is always good.
