I sent my sponsored child a gift of $60 and was supposed to get a picture of her with it and I still haven’t gotten that. Can someone please let me know about this?

I'm not staff and they can help you tomorrow, but it depends how you sent it.  If you specified it as a "Christmas Gift" it goes to the general Christmas Gift Fund that gives a Christmas gift to all children in the program whether sponsored or not, so you would not receive a photo for that, but your child will be one of them that gets a gift and will be told it was from you and sometimes they write about what they got for Christmas (but not always).  If you sent it as a "Child gift" or a "Family gift" it goes directly to your child and you will get a photo and thank-you letter within 6 months.  I don't know when you sent the gift but if 6 months goes by from that date then Compassion will look into it and send an inquiry to make sure you get it.  If you aren't sure what type of gift you sent, Compassion will be able to double check your account and let you know during their office hours. Hope that helps :)

Good morning Hana,

I am so sorry to let you know that as Teresa mentioned above, you will sadly not be getting a photo from this donation because of the way the gift was given. When you made this donation it did go toward our Christmas Fund. All donations that Compassion receives for Christmas are pooled and then at the end of October these funds are distributed evenly among all of our kiddos to ensure that no child is ever left out on Christmas day. Typically we ask that you donate roughly $25 to cover your child, and anything above and beyond that will be used for other kiddos. So some of your gift would actually be used toward other kiddos who don't have a sponsor at Christmas time. I am so sorry that we were not clear on how that would work. This is the only gift that works this way. The wonderful thing is that you were able to bless not only one child for Christmas, but multiple! We are so thankful for your generosity and appreciate all that you do through our ministry! God bless you!
