My Christmas gift to the child I sponsor is $25.  I would like to increase the amount to a total of $40.  How do I make the change?

Hi Dian! Thank you so much for your generosity towards your sponsored child! I would be happy to increase that gift amount for you. However, before I do, I do want to explain how the Christmas gift program works.

All Christmas donations are combined and then divided evenly among every child in our program. With this fund, we purchase a meaningful gift specifically for each child and help purchase gifts for children who are not yet sponsored or whose sponsors are not able to give, and we do this because we want every child to receive a gift and to be included in a special Christmas celebration at their church-based center. Last year, we were able to give a gift worth about $14 to each child, which is wonderful!

If you increase the amount you are giving to the Christmas fund, that doesn't mean that your child would receive all of those funds, but would still receive a gift. If you wanted to change that gift to go directly to your child, we can do that, as well. It simply means that your child would receive two gifts - one from you specifically and one from the fund, as every child receives. Please let us know how you would like to proceed! :)
