We purchased a gift from the Christmas catalog yesterday (a goat). After purchasing, I realized this gift may not be going to our sponsored child?! We would like our gift to go to her or receive a refund so we can send her the same amount.

When donations are received through our Gift Catalog, the funds are collected and distributed to help specific families who can benefit from an item included in the catalog. Because the needs of our beneficiaries and their families vary across the different countries we work in, not all gift catalog items would be appropriate or accessible for every child and family. In other words, a goat would not benefit a family living in the inner city; however, a water filter could be very beneficial. Compassion works with our Country Offices to identify family's that can benefit from these funds. If you would like the funds you gave to go directly to your child, I can certainly move that for you. Would you like them to be designated as a child gift or a family gift? Both will go to your child, that designation will just determine if it's just for her or for her whole family. :)
