Hi Debra! Miurel's financial supporter sends an annual birthday gift and an annual Christmas gift to the Christmas gift fund for her :). However, you are always welcome to send additional gifts to bless Miurel. Please let us know if we may be of further assistance. Have a blessed day!

Hi Debra,
To be completely honest with you, it depends on each child's situation. Some children are mature enough and old enough to understand that they have a financial supporter and a correspondent. In these cases, we would absolutely tell the child they have both of you in their life. However, in many cases, the child may be too young to understand what it means to have both a financial supporter and a correspondent who they are building a relationship with. It is the same thing with gifts. If they are aware they have a correspondent, the staff at the child's project will tell the child that gift is from you, if you are the one who made the donation. However, if the child does not know that they have a correspondent, they would be told it is from their supporter. The thing is, children who do not know that they have a correspondent actually are under the impression that the person they are writing to is the one supporting them, as you are the one they are talking directly with in their letters. When a financial supporter chooses to have a correspondent, they know that they will no longer have communication with their child, and even if they send gifts, the correspondent would be the one who would receive the thank you note.
I hope this all makes sense. Please let us know if you have any additional questions! :)

Hi Debra,
I am so sorry, I know it is a bit confusing. I would encourage you to send a little gift for Christmas if you are able, and that way you know that they will receive a little gift from you. However, either way, its nice to be assured that they will receive a gift and that they will know how loved, special and cared for they are. :)
