Hello Debra, thank you for wanting to bless your children in such a tangible way for Christmas and their birthday. Our Christmas Fund works a little differently than the birthday gifts do. For Christmas, we pool the funds we receive from all of our sponsors and donors together and all the children receive gifts together to celebrate. We don't want any children to feel left out or to receive more or less than the others, so we find this is a more enjoyable way to celebrate the birth of our savior, Jesus Christ. The cut off for Christmas gifts to arrive on time is, October 31. I would also encourage that you send a Christmas card or letter to let your children to let them know you are thinking of them. We do offer Christmas cards and letters online or through our mobile app. For the birthday gifts, these are used for your child specifically. We encourage sending these two to three months prior to ensure they arrive on time. The project staff will let your child know that they have received a birthday gift from you and help them decide what to buy. We also offer the birthday cards and stationery online or through the mobile app, so I encourage sending that as well. We truly appreciate that you care so much for your children and I know they will be blessed by your gifts.

I haven't seen anything about the Christmas fund.  We just started sponsoring last year on October 29 (and that at a Compassion Experience).  Will we get an email? Something in the mail? I'm not seeing any correspondence about it on my account and want to make sure to pay my part at least for my sponsored kids (Not sure I can cover all the correspondents :( )

Hi Sarah! Our Christmas gift appeals are usually sent in September and October, so you will probably receive these soon for your sponsored kiddos :). Since you began sponsoring at the end of October last year, these appeals would not have reached you in time to give for that year since the last day to give is October 31st. Depending on your communication preferences, you will receive this special giving opportunity by email or physical mail. We greatly appreciate your heart to bless both your sponsored children and correspondent children! Please do not feel any pressure or obligation to give for your correspondent children though as this is not an expectation :). We also still send Christmas gift appeals to the financial supporters, so they will most likely give if they are able.
