Does the Christmas gift go to my children or to a fund? Also when sending a letter by mail. Will anything that is scanned be put on the website with the letter? Examples post cards. If I don't see the post card does that mean it was sent and not scanned?

Good morning, John! All Christmas donations are combined and then divided evenly among every child in our program. With this fund, we purchase a meaningful gift specifically for each child and help purchase gifts for children who are not yet sponsored or whose sponsors are not able to give. We do this because we want every child to receive a gift and to be included in a special Christmas celebration at their church-based center. Your children will know that the gift they receive is from you-making it even more special.

The website actually doesn't always show the extra items that were scanned with the letter. Most likely, you will only be able to see the actual letter that you sent. As long as the items you send follow the new correspondent guidelines, they will get scanned and delivered to your children. If you have any questions about whether an item was scanned or not, we'd be happy to check for you!

Thanks, I had sent a prism/3d post card before I realized it might not get sent. I was curious whether they were scanned or sent.

John, this post card would have been scanned and digitally sent to our country offices for your children. I'm so sorry they won't receive the original, but I know they will still enjoy seeing the beautiful landscape of Shenandoah National Park!
