I made a donation for a Christmas gift a few months ago. I was under the impression that this money would be going to my sponsored child. When I look in my giving history, it does not look like the money is going to my child. I would like make sure that my child is provided for at Christmas.

With the Christmas gift fund, all the money is pooled together. Then the staff at the project centers picks out a gift for each child in the Compassion program. Each gift is of equal value. Don't worry, your child will have a gift for Christmas. He/she will be told that the gift is from you.

This is the only type of gift that does not go directly to your sponsored child. Every other type of gift goes directly and 100% to your child and their family. As Lizze said, this just makes sure each child receives a Christmas gift, yours included.
