This is now available for Android and iOS! Thanks to all who have made this possible! Great to see faces of my children whenever I want, and photos of their development centers for the first time! Hope we can share comments and ideas about the app here and those behind it can get the feedback.

Kimberly, I'd try it out and see what results you have.  There are so many differences between phones I doubt the developers could list every fix.  Let us know if it fixes it for you :-)

Yea... it didn't work. It's not my phone. It's the app. It's the app not communicating with the server.

I understand the frustration as I too cannot log into the app.  It appears to be another great idea with great promises but not so great execution and testing prior to roll-out.  All we can do is provide feedback and wait for the fixes...I'm sure they're working hard to resolve all the issues.  Remember that patience is a virtue:)

Wish they'd put a debug or error screen on the app that gave more info when it fails...  be easier to know if everyone has the same line failing for login or if it's other app problems like memory or device settings...  I know Kimberly has the LG G2, Rachel what devices does it not work on for you?  I'm hoping someone at work has one of these devices so I can try the app on theirs...

I am getting an error message that just said an error occurred while I was trying to log into the app on both my Samsung s5 and my tablet. What is going on because the login information is correct?

Hello everyone!

I just wanted to give a quick update on how things are going with the fixes to the mobile app. Thank you so much for your continued prayers for our team and patience as we work through these issues!

An iOS update for iphones was pushed out last Thursday. This update focused on providing updates to child prayers, improved loading experience, and other bug fixes

We are currently working on testing for a new version of the Android app and will be sure to let you all know when it is live.

Please continue letting us know of any specific issues you are experiencing. When you do, it's very helpful if you provide your OS, type of phone, and version so that we can trouble shoot and record your issue. Also, as a general tip, please make sure you have all the latest updates on your phone and the latest updates of the app.

Hi, on my child page, I can access the MY CHILD tab and read the articles, but once I click on the BIO or CENTER tabs, the app crashes everytime. Happens to both my LG G3 (Android 5.0) and Samsung Note 2 (Android 4.4.2). It was ok previously. Restarting my LG G3 made no difference. Pleas let me know if you need more info. Thanks!

Chak, thank you for your feedback! I'm sorry the app is crashing on you and we definitely want to fix that. Our app recently has some updates made to it and the updates were released to the app stores! Could you try re downloading the app for me and try again? If you still experience the same issues, let me know and I'll pass this along to our web team!

I had the same problem the other day on my Galaxy S4.  I removed the app and reinstalled and then the problem went away.

Emily, I'm not sure if this will help the developers any, but here's a screenshot showing what the app would do when it crashed (before the reinstall fixed it).  You can see the My Child tab is hightlighted at the top and anytime I clicked BIO or CENTER I had the app start sliding the screen over and then the crash.  A reinstall fixed everything so it works fine now, maybe something to help out the devs.

Yes, it was the same for me. When press BIO or CENTER, the next screen moves in from the right but it would crash halfway. Maybe something that patch(es) on installed versions caused, but (re)installing a patched version is ok.

The app kept crashing and couldn't start on both my phones. I uninstalled and tried to reinstall but couldn't find it on the playstore. Anyone knows what happened to it?

Chak, this mobile app is designed to be used by people with Compassion USA accounts (which you have). Regrettably, it is currently limited for Google Play or iTunes downloads by US residents only. I'm so sorry for this inconvenience :(. I will be sure to keep you posted in the future if the app becomes available for our sponsors living outside of the US!

I've encountered a snafu showing the Center info in the new app. Best I can figure, here it is...
Initially, clicking on "My Child" and "Bio" and "Center" all work fine. Then a layout-looking mishap started, in which the Center's name gets squished to the left, and the description area shows most of one character per line after that.

Here is what I tried -- logged out and then back in. Updated app. Updated to iOS 8.3. Rebooted phone. Uninstalled and reinstalled app. Force-closed and restarted app. Best I can remember, the layout-looking mishap has been corrected after most or all of these interventions, but hasn't stayed corrected for very long after any of them. After a few minutes of clicking through my students, the issue has come up again. ***NOTE: There is one thing I've found that consistently produces the undesirable issue -- clicking on our LDP student. Once I have called up our LDP student, every other student's Center info is rendered unreadable, as in the attached image. Force-closing and restarting the app causes it to all work well again, until I click again on the LDP.

Device is iPhone 5s. OS was 7.something, now 8.3 as of this afternoon. I have the most recently available app version from the app store as of today. I haven't tried sending a letter using the app, though I've called up that feature and it at least came up okay. I've not received any error messages in the app. I have 2 sponsored students, 3 correspondent children, and 1 LDP.

Hi Debi! I'm sorry you're experiencing these issues :(. I'm curious as to why it produces the issue when selecting your LDP student and have passed this along to our web team to troubleshoot for you. Regrettably, I was unable to locate your account using your name and email. Would you mind posting your sponsor number or one of your children's ID numbers? Thank you so much for the feedback!

Thanks, Emily. My sponsor number is 3608327 . I don't fully know where child sponsorship does and does not overlap with the LDP program, just that there are differences in at least a few key places. And, with the changes in process in the LDP program, the foundational tech at Compassion, and the app itself, my little issue here could quite reasonably be pretty low in the priorities list. But maybe having a consistently reproducible error like this may uncover a bug that impacts other things, too, so I am hopeful it might at least help somewhere. Meanwhile, I am trying to train myself to not click on our LDP student in the app -- not easy, but surely possible ;)

Debi, we definitely want to make it priority as our desire is for you to be able to get full use out of this app without having to tip toe around it. I really appreciate your grace and patience with us, you're so sweet :). Our web team just responded to me that they're on it and working to resolve this issue quickly for you! :) I'll let you know what I find out.
