The address that is given in order to send personal stationary to our child is simply Compassion International, Colorado Springs, CO, 80997.  I just wanted to check and make sure if there was supposed to be a street address included before I sent the letter.  Thanks!

HI, I went to mail my child's first letter (other than online) , and had it addressed to Compassion International, Colorado Springs, CO, 80997, But the postlady would not accept it that way. She insisted on a different address. So, I had my letter from Compassion in my purse, and found this one: 12290 Voyager Parkway, Colorado Springs, Co. 80921-3668.  She accepted that one, saying it pulled up but the one previously had not pulled up a location at all. Has anyone had this happen before?  I hope using this address does not slow the process up.

Strange, I've never had that problem when mailing letters. I don't know if it will slow down the process or not to send it to the Voyager parkway Address. Hopefully someone from Compassion can fill us in next Monday.

Hi Rhonda! That's interesting to me that your mail carrier would not accept the letter to your child with the correspondence address. That zip code is specific to our office and so it should send them directly to us; but I am wondering if she just wasn't aware that the 80997 zip code is not a general Colorado Springs zip and so no street address is necessary.

I am sorry for the hassle and concern it caused. I want to encourage you ladies that if you ever need to use the alternate address, it is not going to be a problem. It still comes to the same building and we will get it processed just fine for you. We have the 80997 address for correspondence so that all letters are already coming through filtered from the rest of our mail. Every so often, letters are going to come through the other address and we just sort it out from the rest of the mail and send it on to our correspondence team. You can be assured your child will still receive her letter in a timely manner :). Next time you send a letter, I might suggest writing it like this:

Correspondence Team
Compassion International
Colorado Springs, CO 80997

When you specify that it go directly to our correspondence department, mail carriers might accept it easier since it has a more direct destination.
