Compassion Changes Lives!

I never realized, when we decided to sponsor our first child in June of 2009, what a life-changing moment it would be. As soon as Precious in Ghana joined our family, our thought processes started to change. As we exchanged letters, I began to feel a sense of love and a passion to reach out like I had never expected. Our Compassion family is growing and growing and, with that, our perspectives have changed drastically. We now think in "Compassion currency" and weigh our purchases while thinking of how our dollars could help someone with crucial needs. We think outside of ourselves more, which is really a blessing.
I am blessed with our Compassion family, reaching across the globe. I am thrilled to do what I can to spread the word about Compassion. I thoroughly enjoy the sponsors I have come to know through my blog, Blogging from the Boonies. It warms my heart when I hear from a sponsor who was inspired to write more often to their child.

~Compassion International has blessed our family in so many ways and I know they are blessing the children in their program as well.

Thank you for sharing Michelle! It makes me so happy to hear how your family has been blessed by sponsorship. I love that phrase- Compassion Currency. What an incredible way to look at what we spend!

As always, please let us know if there is any way we can help you spread the word about Compassion's ministry. I'm so thankful for your passionate advocacy.

I wanted to have more kids. but in November 2012. I had female surgery. I no longer can have anymore children. I have two school children. I am bless by two healthy kids. they attend Elementry school together. One is kindergarten and other is third grade. My youngest son Jeremiah wants to grow up to be train conductor. My oldest Autumn wants to grow up to raise horses and a ranch home. both my children study the bible and love to sing/read! I have a fiancé who firefighter at airport. I decided to this because I have always wanted a dozen children. (Someday I hope I can adopt and raise special needs kids). but since I can't have kids and it cost a little more to adopt I decided to sponsor four kids. (I haven't heard from them yet, but hope to soon). thank you for letting be do this!
