Back in November 2014, I authorization $340 to be sent to my sponsored child and his family, (Sital Soren EI-155-0377) as a Christmas gift. In the last week (mid March) I have received a letter from Sital and a letter from his minister. In neither letter, the Xmas donation of $340 was not mentioned, nor what was purchased for the family. Did they receive the money or it proceeds? Is the time delay of 4 months too short. I just want to know if the additional donation did really go to the sponsor child and his family.

Hi, Barbara. I'm just another sponsor, not a Compassion employee, but I figured I'd chime in in case it takes a bit longer to get an official response. It takes about 6 months to get notification of what a montetary gift went for. I bet in your next letter there will be mention of it.

Hi Barbara! What a generous gift you sent! Thank you so much for blessing Sital and his family in such a tangible way! It looks like this gift was processed in November and dispersed to Sital's family with the next wire to India. Because it takes two to three months for gifts to be received, Sital would have received this gift in January or February and then would send his thank you letter and photo. Then it takes two to three months for his letter to travel back to you. This means that you can expect this thank you letter and photo to arrive within six months of when the gift was given or by mid May 2015. Again, thank you so much for blessing Sital with this gift and I sincerely hope that you receive that thank you letter very soon. :)
