I have sent Christmas funds and not received photos from two of my sponsored children.
I did receive one from the third child, Jostin.. However, can you give me more information on if the photo was from the family gift or the child’s gift. I saw he bought two of a few things, I assume for a sibling? I would just like a little more clarification on how the family decided to spend the money. Was the stuff purchased for Christmas presents? I have seen on here families using the money for beds, doors, etc. if they didn’t need any of that, that is great but I’d just like to know and understand their needs more.
I am also confused/bothered by not receiving a letter from Hannah since November. I was told she wasn’t impacted by the earthquake last year and later received an email that it had caused issues with the family’s income.
Messi I have received letters but no info on how the funds for gifts were spent.
We have had a little tougher time coming up with money for all 3 kids but we think it’s important. My children have become invested in our sponsored children’s stories. I want to keep my husband invested and not want to pull the plug on this but it’s crucial getting letters and pictures for this. We love the work compassion does and are trying our best to stay dedicated and loved compassion helped us out to keep our sponsored children during a difficult time. Any information would be helpful. Thank you & god bless.

Hello Haley! I am happy to assist you today! I did take alook at the letter you received from Jostin and it seems a little unclear. Ijust want to explain the gift process to you a little bit before going into hisgift. Whenever you send a family gift, child gift or birthday gift, the projectstaff leader sees that this gift is for your child, and they may go on a homevisit with your child to see what they need or their family needs most at thattime. The project staff leader then goes to the market place with your child oryour child and their family to help purchase the item(s) that they need most.In Jostin’s letter, it only mentions that he purchased a pair of shoes, twopants and two shirts. This could be for the $30 that you sent to Jostin, but itlooks like he is holding up a car in the picture as well. I have submitted aninquiry to the field office staff of Honduras regarding this. Once we hear backfrom the field staff, we will let you know as quickly as we can. As far asknowing their needs, we do not keep record of each child’s needs in our system. That is why we have the process of the project staff leader going to theirhome, and seeing what their needs are and purchasing anything that would helpthem.

If you go longer than six months without hearing from any of your children, please reach out to us. Each child does need to write a letter within six months. I have submitted an inquiry to the field staff of Mexico regarding Hanna’s letters. Again, we will let you know as quickly as we can once we hear back from the field staff of Mexico.

Messi did write in his most recent letter how the contributions were spent. It looks like he bought a closet, but there was not a photo included in this letter. Did you receive this letter? I have submitted an inquiry to the field staff of Peru regarding this photo. Once again, we will let you know when we hear back from the field staff of Peru. Let us know if you have any further questions, and we will be happy to assist you, Haley! :)
