Hello! My son sponsors two kids, and is a correspondent with another. All in Africa. (Which is where plans on visiting in a couple years.)
He is on the list to get another child to correspond with from Africa. (Age and gender don't matter, just location, since he plan on visiting there more than once.) The way we have been requesting correspondents is by calling Compassion after he is assigned a new correspondent child, and then asking to have his name put on the list again. I was just wondering if there is a more efficient way to do that?
Is it possible that he could stay on the list until he has a total of 7 more correspondent kids from Africa, which will make his total correspondent sponsored and normal sponsored children at an even number... 10 kiddos! He is 17 and LOVE writing to these children.
His name is Jashuah Olesky and his sponsor number is 0781149.
We also had another, somewhat off subject, question. My son sponsored a little girl by the name of Mispa back in August. This was one of those God interventions. My son was already sponsoring a 5 year old boy from Africa, and he saw Mispa's packet while volunteering at a concert, and she is also 5... and from Africa. But that was not even the weird thing. He picked her packet up to pass out at the concert, and saw that she was in the EXACT SAME Compassion Center that his first sponsored child was in. That is not something that happens often. Obviously he committed to sponsoring Mispa that night. Since Mispa, and his first Compassion sponsored child (Yator) are in the same center, we assumed their letters would be pretty much coming in at similar times. But he has heard from Yator a couple of times, and has not heard from Mispa. He assumes it is because she is so young, and might not like writing or drawing, which is normal for that age. But I wanted to check, just to make sure everything was okay.
I know that was a lot of questions! No rush! Thanks for listening!
