Country Director Letters

I have been reading letters today from the country directors and loving them!  I love the big-picture perspective and the vision each portrays.  I love reading the different messages from the directors of different countries, teaching a little about their ministry context and sharing their vision for the ministry, especially for the current year.  I love seeing their pictures and reading about their own families.  I love the unity of focus on mission, combined with the uniqueness of each in expressing passion and vision.  I love the invitation to partner with them in ministry, to take an active role on the team without taking center stage.
I'm excited, still and again, to invest in the lives of these young people by partnering with people around the world who can show up in person with them.  I am inspired, too, to show up in person and love the young people in my area also.

I too much enjoy hearing from the different people who are caring for the children, such as the pastor's letters a while back and now the director letters. Hearing from them makes sponsorship seem more partnership and ministry and less like working in a vacuum. I've always loved and believed in compassion, but often felt alone.
