I was wondering something. Since Compassion monitors letter content to protect the child, what happens when Compassion comes across a letter that gets denied? Will the sponsor get notified in any way? Not planning anything here, just wanted to know more about the process.

thanks!

Hi Luis- if we find a letter that has inappropriate content, we will notify the sponsor and let them know that we could not forward the letter onto the child.

If the "inapproriate content" is just a sentence or two that maybe should have been left out, will they just be edited out?

yes, if it is just a line or two, it will be removed from the letter. We will still notify the sponsor to let them know that we had to edit their letter to their child and let them know why.
