Didn't receive Compassion Sunday materials and child packets in time

I'm very disappointed that we didn't receive our Compassion Sunday materials and child packets that I requested on October 19 for our Compassion Sunday event on November 5.  We have videos we were playing during service, as well as bulletin inserts about sponsoring a Compassion child.  I called on November 2 to make sure they were on their way since we had not received them.  The person I spoke to assured me that they have been sent and we would receive them on Friday, November 3.  Not only did we not receive them that day, they also didn't come today (Saturday, November 4).  There was no way to contact you as we were desperately trying to figure out a new game plan for our service tomorrow.  There was someone at the church all day today in anticipation that they would be delivered.  We called Fed Ex, UPS, and went to the local post office.  This similar situation happened last year as well and we had to call to get our child packets overnighted.  I understand why you wait until the last minute to send them, for the sake of the children waiting for sponsors, but this has left no room for any mishap, which clearly happened.

MarkandAmanda, I sincerely apologize that you did not receive your Compassion Sunday materials on time. :( I am researching what went wrong in this situation so that hopefully we can make it up to you and your church and also prevent this from every happening again. I'll keep you updated on what I find out. Thank you for your patience.
