Hi Sierra! I'm happy to help you. I'm so sorry to hear that you received a different child than the child you intended to sponsor. Did you sign up to sponsor a child at an event? If so, then the child you had originally chosen may not have been available by the time we received the packet in the mail. Every child packet has a "return by" date so we can ensure each child is being sponsored and not falling through the cracks. After the "return by" date has passed, the child would become available somewhere else. If we receive an expired child packet, we will place a similar child on the account for your consideration. Please know there is no obligation to keep this child. Do you possibly know the other child number of the one you had chosen? If you do, I'd be happy to see if they're available.
