Different faith sponsor

I was troubled at first if I would "fit in" when writing to my sponsored child. I am from the Advaita Vendanta tradition (ie. a Hindu sect) and worried my viewpoints would offend in the letter writing process.

I tried finding a post about this perceived dilemma on the forum in the hopes my fears could be allayed. None could be found so I started this post as a Question for the experts.

Then I remembered my favorite expert! God! After praying for only a few moments about my concerns and doubts I wanted to share the answer I received:

"Love her as you would your own, honour her as you honour God."

I don't know if God always has the same thing to say for the same situation for every person on earth but I feel confident in posting this answer if anyone ever has the same conundrum - this one is universal.

Love is an unapologetic language!
